Principal

Dear Cascades Students and Families,

Welcome to Cascades! We are so excited for you to be a part of our warm, family, friendly culture! Our vision statement, One Community: Teaching, Learning, Succeeding Together! embodies what we believe it means to be a Cascades Colt. Student success depends on staff, students, and families collaborating and working together to make it a fantastic experience for all students. We look forward to partnering with you to create a positive school experience.

We have a huge belief in educating the whole child so that they have the potential to reach any dream they choose and the grit to make it over any obstacles in their way. Cascades does this through warmth, smiles, and high fives combined with high expectations. The back of our school shirts reads: Work Hard, Be Kind. These two phrases are at the heart of who we are.

As educators, it is our responsibility to create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and respected. We strive to foster a positive and inclusive culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our goal is to provide each student with the opportunity to grow and learn in a supportive and rigorous academic environment.

Before becoming the principal at Cascades, I was a teacher for 12 years, with nine of them here at Cascades. I am a Colt through and through! I coached high school varsity soccer for 13 years. I grew up in Springfield, Oregon and went to Oregon State University and Pacific University. I live in Lebanon and have three children; my two sons went to Cascades and my daughter will attend in three years. My wife is full-time, active duty in the Army National Guard. I love street tacos and everything Oregon!
